Father God, we are thankful for Hon Paul Merriman and his
commitment to the constituents of Saskatoon Silverspring-Sutherland. Lord, we
ask Your divine wisdom for him in his responsibilities as Minister of Social
Services. Provide him with strategies and resources for the implementation of
solutions to the needs and challenges individuals and families face in the
province. Strengthen, encourage and give him peace, rest and good health. We
ask Your blessing on him, his wife and family. Amen.
First elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in 2011, Paul Merriman is honoured to continue serving his constituency and province following his re-election in 2016. Paul has called Saskatchewan home for nearly thirty years, having lived in Saskatoon since 1994. Born and raised in Toronto, he moved here with his family in 1988. Paul is currently the Minister of Social Services. He has previously served as Government House Leader and Government Whip. He also sits on the Board of Internal Economy. Paul and his wife, Leane Durand, have four children.
