Lord, we are grateful for Hon David Marit as he gives of
himself in the service of our province. May you grant him wisdom and grace as
he works for the betterment of our agricultural community. Give him insight as
he guides this critical part of our heritage and economy.
David Marit was elected MLA for Wood River on April 4, 2016. Born and raised in the area, he has very strong ties to his community. David currently owns and operates a farm with his brother and, in addition to a busy professional life, he has volunteered extensively. On August 15, 2018, he was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation. He and his wife Lois have one son and a daughter with two granddaughters and one grandson.
