MLA Colleen Young, Lloydminster

We pray for Collen Young today and ask that You would bless her as she gives herself to serving her community and our province.  Thank you for the gifts and talents you have given her.  Let your kindness, goodness and strength be upon her today.  In Jesus' Name, Amen

Colleen was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in a November 13, 2014 by-election for the constituency of Lloydminster. She was re-elected in the 2016 provincial election. Colleen currently serves as a member of the Treasury Board, and she is Chair of the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies.
Colleen was born and raised on a family farm east of Saskatoon and has called the Lloydminster riding home for the last 30 years. Colleen attended the College of Education at the University of Saskatchewan beginning in 1979 and has been active in education ever since. Colleen has been a trustee of the Lloydminster Public School Division Board of Education for the past 20 years and has served as the board chair for 16 of those years. Colleen is very active in the Lloydminster community. Involved with the Kiwanis Club, Learning Council, In Motion, Young Life, School Community Councils, and many other volunteer opportunities, she has always put kids, families, and newcomers to the community first.
Colleen and her husband, Kim, have one daughter, Nevada; seven sons: Casey, Chester, Riley, Fraser, Percy, Duke, and Ace; a wonderful daughter-in-law, Jessica; and two beautiful granddaughters, Pearl and Belle

MLA Hon Gordon Wyant, Saskatoon Northwest

Lord God, thank you for Hon Gord Wyant help him to lead in a way that will honor You and trust You.  Help him to be a leader who loves the things You love. Help him to have a discerning heart and a
wise mind that models Your character. Energize his spirit and body physically and spiritually. Guide him in the way our province should go. Amen.


Gordon Wyant was elected MLA for Saskatoon Northwest in an October 2010 by-election. He was then re-elected in the 2011 and 2016 provincial elections. He has been Minister of Justice and Attorney General, and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Power Corporation and SaskBuilds. Gordon previously served Saskatchewan as Deputy Government House Leader.
Raised in Saskatoon, Gordon was the first Canadian-born member of his family. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction in 1985, and graduated from the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan in 1986. Shortly after convocation, Gordon began practicing law with the firm of McKercher LLP, where he practiced as a partner until his appointment as Attorney General. In 1987, Gordon received an award for highest standing in the 1987 Bar Admission course. He received his Queen's Counsel designation in 2009.
Gordon and his wife Christine Hrudka have four children. In addition to his family, Gordon enjoys writing, skiing and motorcycling. He is also the proud recipient of the Sterling Writing Award for non-fiction, awarded in 1999.

MLA Trent Wotherspoon, Regina Rosemont



Dear Lord. We thank you today for the way that you use Trent Wotherspoon in service to the people of Saskatchewan. We ask you to bless he and Stephanie with a beautiful fall season. Give them both fruitfulness in their labour and purpose in their relationships. May you give them a growing spiritual walk with Christ. Amen. 


Trent was elected in 2007 and re-elected in 2011 and 2016 for the constituency of Regina Rosemont.
Trent has served as the opposition critic for Finance, Education, Municipal Relations, Urban Affairs, Economy, and the Global Transportation Hub. Trent has also served on a national committee of the CCAF, with an aim to strengthen governance and accountability.
Trent was born and raised in northwest Regina. He earned a Bachelor of Education at the U of R and has taken grad studies in education and undergrad studies in business.
Prior to politics, working with an interdisciplinary committee, Trent developed and managed within the community a nationally recognized program for youth offenders of highest risk which successfully increased educational attachment and reduced recidivism rates.
As an educator, Trent taught in high schools and led various new initiatives. Trent assisted in the creation of a new campus for adult students. Trent also led the development of a program for students displaying severe violent behaviors. Previously, Trent worked with a youth agency supporting at-risk youth.
Trent has background in business as an entrepreneur, through business studies, and as a past director with the Regina’s warehouse business improvement district.
Trent’s wife Stephanie is a teacher. Together, they are highly involved in the community through coaching and volunteerism, and by engaging in the many diverse cultural, arts and sporting events that enrich Regina and Saskatchewan.
Trent enjoys the outdoors, particularly fishing, hunting, and canoeing; and sports, such as hockey, football, rugby, water-sports, and running.

MLA Hon. Nadine Wilson, Saskatchewan Rivers



Heavenly Father, we thank you for Hon. Nadine Wilson and the heart she has to serve this great province. Lord we ask you to give her wisdom for each circumstance that will arise that she might serve with integrity and honour.


First elected MLA for Saskatchewan Rivers in the 2007 provincial election, Nadine was re-elected in 2011 and 2016.
Nadine has served Saskatchewan as Legislative Secretary to the Minister Responsible for Immigration (New Citizen initiative), deputy caucus chair, and as chair of the legislature’s Standing Committee on Private Bills.  She is presently the Provincial Secretary and proudly serves her province as a member of the caucus Management Committee and the Standing Committee on Human Services.
Nadine studied social service work and later became one of the first women to work as a corrections worker in the Men's Provincial Correctional Centre in Prince Albert. She was twice elected reeve of the rural municipality of Paddockwood before making the move to provincial service. A former Saskatchewan 4-H club leader, Nadine remains involved in this youth organization.
Fourth generation cattle ranchers, Nadine and her husband Doug reside north of Prince Albert. They raised four children who all live and work in Saskatchewan, and are now the proud grandparents of seven lively grandchildren.

We pray for the people and government of Saskatchewan today.  We ask that the Throne Speech would be inspired by Your heart and vision for our province and that Your Kingdom would come and Your will would be done in our province as it is in heaven.  Help those entrusted to deliver on the goals that this speech will lay out to deliver them faithfully and with distinction.  Use them as instruments of your peace, hope and grace.  We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen

MLA Randy Weekes, Biggar - Sask Valley


I am praying the prayer of Jabez for you (paraphrased): I pray that you would bless Randy and expand his territory. Please be with him in all that he does and keep him from all trouble and pain. I encourage you to pray I Chronicles 4:10 for yourself too. It’s OK to ask God to bless you and make your influence ‘BIGGER’

Randy was first elected in 1999 as the MLA for Redberry Lake and re-elected in 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2016 as the MLA for Biggar-Sask Valley. While in opposition, Randy served as critic for Highways and Transportation, Environment, and Labour, and deputy critic for Immigration and Information Services Corporation.
Randy has served as deputy chair of the Standing Committee on the Economy and served on the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies, Standing Committee on House Services, Standing Committee on Agriculture, and Standing Committee on Non-Controversial Bills.
Randy is currently Government Caucus Chair and a member of the Private Bills Committee, the Privileges Committee, and the Public Accounts Committee. He is chair of the caucus Management Committee.
Randy was born in Biggar and grew up on the nearby family farm. He studied at the University of Saskatchewan and received a diploma in Agriculture, before returning to farm and ranch with his family. Randy and his wife Cindy make their home near Biggar.
