MLA: HON. KEN KRAWETZ - CANORA PELLY - DEPUTY PREMIER AND MINISTER OF FINANCE

Thank You, Father, for the many years of service  as an MLA by the Honourable Ken Krawetz Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance. Continue to pour Your wisdom and knowledge into his life as he goes about his responsibilities. We pray You would also continue to provide him a clear sense of direction and purpose in the decisions he makes both for our province and personally.  Bless him and his wife with Your grace and peace. In Your name, we pray. Amen.

Ken was first elected as MLA for Canora-Pelly constituency in 1995. During his years in opposition he served as critic for a number of major portfolios including Education, Labour, Health, and Finance. Ken was also the interim leader of the Saskatchewan Party and Leader of the Opposition from 1997 to 1999.

He was Deputy Leader of the Saskatchewan Party. After his re-election in the 2007 provincial election, he was appointed Deputy Premier and Minister of Education. He also chaired the province’s treasury board. In June 2010, Ken was assigned new duties and serves as Minister of Finance while retaining his duties as Deputy Premier. 

As an avid sports fan, Ken has played hockey and fastball for many years. He is also a provincially registered volleyball official.

Ken currently resides on the family farm that he continues to operate with his wife Gail. They have two adult children and 2 grandchildren.
