Heavenly Father, we pray today with regard to the serious flooding in our province. God we know that YOU hold all power over the wind and the rain and today we ask you to intervene in the serious situation that is affecting many people in Saskatchewan. We are asking You to stop the rain and to send sunshine and wind so that the waters recede. We pray today for those who have had to evacuate their homes and also for those who are experiencing property damage. Give them your grace and peace in this difficult time.
We ask that you would strengthen and protect the many workers and volunteers that are serving communities and neighbours. Keep them safe from harm. We pray for the many leaders who are responsible to formulate and lead an appropriate response to this current emergency. Give them wisdom and perspective as they face this challenge.
