MLA: DON TOTH - MOOSOMIN

Father, we thank You for MLA: Don Toth and ask that Your hand of blessing would be upon him.  We ask You to strengthen and refresh MLA Toth and give him a clear vision for the future.  We pray that he would be ready and able to hear Your voice and that he would courageously follow wherever You lead.  Please give him great insight and understanding and cause him to make right decisions that would be for the good of the people of Moosomin and all of Saskatchewan. Bless him and his family with good health and happy times together.  We ask this in Jesus’ name.

Don was first elected to represent the Moosomin constituency in the 1986 general election. He was re-elected in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011. He was named Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan on December 10, 2007, the first day of the opening session of the 26th Legislature. He served as Speaker until December, 2011.

Don was born in Kipling and raised on the family farm near Langbank. Don studied agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan and then entered the Full Gospel Bible Institute in Eston, Saskatchewan. Prior to his political career, Don served his community on a number of boards and organization and also served on an RM council.

Aside from his political duties, Don keeps himself busy helping on the farm and spending time with his wife Lois, their children, and most importantly, the three grandchildren.
