MLA Doug Steele, Cypress Hills

Lord, we thank You for MLA Doug Steele and the position You have placed him in. We thank You that You have directed his paths to bring him to this point and we ask for Your wisdom as he balances the various responsibilities in his life. We thank You for his historic and ongoing service to our province, please bless the works of his hands. Amen..........

Doug was elected MLA for Cypress Hills in the April 2016 provincial election. He currently serves Saskatchewan as a member of the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice, and he was previously a member of the Standing Committee on the Economy. From manager of a local elevator to the Marketing Manager of an inland terminal, Doug worked in the grain industry for 19 years. He served on numerous committees in southwest Saskatchewan including the Southwest Municipal Government committee and the Southwest Area Transportation committee. Doug was awarded the Saskatchewan Centennial Medal in 2005 and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012. Doug and his wife Phyllis own and operate a fourth-generation family farm and have three grown children and two grandchildren.
