MLA Greg Lawrence, Moose Jaw Wakamow

Lord God, we give thanks for Greg Lawrence, and the steady character he is to the legislature. We look to you for strength   as he fulfills his desire to make an impact and difference in the lives of his constituents and our province.

Born in Bienfait and raised in the Estevan area, Greg spent many years working in the oil industry and with SaskPower. He moved his family to Moose Jaw in 2003 where he began his employment with SaskTel as a customer service technician. He would later become vice president of union CEP Local 3 and sit as the grievance coordinator and as a Securtek bargaining representative.  Greg has also served as president of Southern Plains Métis Local 160.
Greg and his wife Marj fostered many children while raising three teenage boys. This involvement inspired Greg to make a difference by running in the 2011 provincial election.
Greg was first elected as the MLA for Moose Jaw Wakamow in November 2011. He was re-elected on April 4, 2016.
Greg is Chair of the Assembly's Standing Committee on Human Services and is a member of the House Services Committee and the Privileges Committee. He was recently appointed Saskatchewan’s Military Liaison. Having served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Canadian Air Force Reserves, instructing at the #40 Snowbird Air Cadet Squadron, and serving as a Deputy Commanding Officer in the Cadet Instructors Cadre, he is delighted with his new role. He also serves as Government Whip.
Greg and his wife Marjorie have three adult sons, one foster son and two grandchildren. Spending time with his family and spoiling his grandkids are his focus when he is not at work.
