Dear Lord. Thank you for Hugh Nerlien. We ask that you give him grace to succeed and a joy in the journey. Help him to learn quickly the best ways to effectively help his constituents. Hugh was born and raised in the Porcupine Plain area of Saskatchewan.
Hugh received his Diploma in Business Administration from STI (now Saskatchewan Polytechnique) in Moose Jaw. This opened the door for Hugh to work as a Bank Manager, Independent Financial Planner and in a consulting role.
Hugh recently sold his business Dragonfly Holdings in Porcupine Plain. After selling the business, he turned his attention to politics in the Kelvington-Wadena constituency. Hugh has volunteered extensively in his community as a former president of the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association, Porcupine Plain Economic Development Committee, and board member for Porcupine Credit Union Limited.
'I believe strongly in the principles behind the Party, the leadership of Premier Wall and the strong team of MLA's that form the party.' He said of his decision to run for the Saskatchewan Party.
Hugh says he is looking forward to representing the people of Kelvington-Wadena in the next election. "I believe that with my mix of experiences and skills I can help to serve my constituency and this province well. I want to be a part of continued growth in Saskatchewan."
Hugh and his wife Giselle, have two sons and one daughter.
