MLA Laura Ross, Regina Rochdale

Father, right now we pray for MLA Ms. Laura Ross. We thank you for her wide breadth of knowledge covering many areas of society. May she use her strengths to improve her areas of influence. Thank you for her work that gives dignity to the less fortunate. Bless and keep her family safe and well........

Laura was first elected MLA for Regina Qu'Appelle Valley in the 2007 provincial election. She was re-elected in 2011 and 2016. Laura was appointed as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Health, responsible for retention and recruitment of nurses, long-term care and the reduction of surgical wait times. Laura currently serves as a member of the caucus Management Committee.

Laura is a founding member in the Saskatchewan chapter of Equal Voice and serves as a role model and mentor to young women interested in professional and political lives. Laura was also instrumental in the development of Regina's first Habitat for Humanity Women's Build project in 2011, and she sat on a committee to spearhead the Habitat for Humanity Mountie House. Laura currently resides in Regina with her husband Terry. They have one son.

Hon Jim Reiter, Rosetown-Elrose

Heavenly Father, You are so gracious, so loving and so understanding of our simple frame. We are but dust, yet You created us from dust into the image of Yourself. Father I would ask for Jim, that You would visit him in the quietness of his heart, when he lays his head down at night. That his thoughts would turn to relevance and significance. Father, he has chased and found positions of leadership in his chase for significance and relevance. Yet Father, true significance is not found in position but in relationship. Father, chase Jim and find him in his quiet moments. Reveal to him the importance of relationship - relationship with You. For it is You who gives relevance and significance to those who seek you and find you.  Father, help him to find You in those moments. 

Jim Reiter was first elected as the MLA for Rosetown-Elrose in the 2007 provincial election. He was re-elected in 2011 and 2016. Professionally, Jim has extensive experience in municipal governance. He was the long-time administrator for the Rural Municipalities of Marriott and Pleasant Valley. He has served as Director, Vice-President, and President of the Rural Municipal Administrators' Association (RMAA), as well as Executive Director.

Among his educational accomplishments is a Senior Certificate in Local Government Administration from the University of Regina. He also served six years on the U of R Senate. Jim has served his community as a Justice of the Peace and marriage commissioner. In addition to his current role as Minister of Health, Jim has also served as Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Minister of First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs, and Minister of Government Relations.

MLA Nicole Rancourt, Prince Albert Northcote

Thank you, Lord for preparing Nicole to serve in our legislature through her profession as social worker and volunteering in various organizations. You have given her a desire to speak for those who often don't have a voice in our society. Give her wisdom and passion to do her work well. Bless her and her family with health and peace. In Jesus' Name Amen.

Nicole Rancourt was elected in 2016 as the MLA for Prince Albert Northcote.Nicole is a registered social worker and worked at the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.Nicole has been a volunteer with many organizations. In 2008, the Elizabeth Fry Society presented Nicole with their Rebel With A Cause award for her work with incarcerated women. She is the past chairperson of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for Saskatchewan Penitentiary and Prince Albert Parole. Nicole has a son and daughter, a step-son and step-daughter, and two grandsons. She and her partner enjoy cheering on the Saskatchewan Roughriders, playing slo-pitch on local teams, and supporting local sports and arts.
