MLA Scott Moe, Rosthern-Shellbrook

Dear Lord, we pray today for MLA Scott Moe. We ask you to have your guiding hand on his life and career in politics. Bless him with a clear voice and solid sense of strategic direction for the province of Saskatchewan. May you also bless his family with health, prosperity, and a deep spiritual walk. Amen.

Scott Moe was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in the 2011 provincial election. He was re-elected in 2016.  Scott served as a member of the legislature’s Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies and was deputy chair of the legislature’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts.  Scott has previously served as Minister of Environment, Minister of Advanced Education, Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Water Corporation, and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Water Security Agency.

Scott was educated at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Scott has been active in the community through his work with the Economic Development Corporation, the Shellbrook and District Health Services Project Inc., and the Shellbrook and District Physician Recruitment Committee. He has also volunteered his time to work with local hockey and softball associations. Scott and his wife Krista live in Shellbrook with their two children.

MLA Warren Michelson, Moose Jaw North

Mr. Michelson, you have served both your community and your government faithfully for many years. Be of courage and be bold in your undertakings for you speak with authority and others will listen. May God richly bless you and guide you in your continued service as and MLA.  Amen

Warren Michelson is serving his third term as the representative for the constituency of Moose Jaw North in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan.  Since 2007 Warren has been instrumental in representing Moose Jaw citizens through his constituency involvement and work on Assembly standing committees including Economy and Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

Warren has served as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Economy (Manufacturing), as co-chair of the Saskatchewan Construction Panel, and as a member of a caucus committee to review government policies and reduce regulation redundancies.

Warren’s knowledge and experience include over 25 years in the communication industry, including television, radio and newspaper, in a variety of management positions. Warren’s business interests include leadership in the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, serving as provincial president in 2004-05. From 2000 to 2006, Warren also held a seat on the Senate of the University of Regina.

Warren is committed to community volunteer service as a past member of the Moose Jaw Hospital Foundation Board, and past director of the Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce. He also takes an active part in the lay ministries at his church.

Warren and his wife Debbie have four children and six grandchildren, all living in Saskatchewan.

MLA Hon. Paul Merriman, Saskatoon Silverspring - Sutherland

Lord we lift up Hon. Paul Merriman, we pray that he would sense Your love and goodness as he is about his work in his constituency. May he feel encouraged as he serves the people in his community and this province.  We pray that You would give him the strength to carryout the many tasks before him.  Bless Paul's family with good health and may they have a blessed Christmas season. Amen

First elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in 2011, Paul Merriman is honoured to continue serving his constituency and province following his re-election in 2016.

Paul has called Saskatchewan home for nearly thirty years, having lived in Saskatoon since 1994. Born and raised in Toronto, he moved here with his family in 1988. Prior to the 2011 election, Paul was the executive director of the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre. He was also formerly employed by SaskEnergy for eight years setting up a province-wide salvage operation of used material. He has also owned and operated two small businesses.

Paul is currently the Minister of Social Services, having previously served as Government House Leader, Deputy Government House Leader, and Government Whip. He also sits on the Board of Internal Economy, the Private Bills committee, the Privileges committee, the House Services committee, and the caucus Management Committee. He was previously a member of the Public Accounts committee.

Paul and his wife, Leane Durand, a small business owner, have four children.

MLA Dr. Ryan Meili, Saskatoon Meewasin

Lord I pray for Dr. Ryan Meili. Your Word declares that we can come to You, the source of wisdom, for wisdom. I do that right now Father, and I ask that You would not only give Dr. Meili wisdom of men, but the wisdom of God. I pray that You would impart into him divine wisdom, that He may be able to rightly divine the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). I pray dear Lord that You will instruct him and teach him in the way He should go (Psalm 32:8). Direct his steps, let his ear be inclined to hear Your voice. Amen.

Ryan Meili became the MLA for the constituency of Saskatoon Meewasin in a by-election held on March 2, 2017.

Ryan is a family doctor and community builder who lives and works in Saskatoon's core neighbourhoods.

MLA Don McMorris, Indian Head - Milestone

Dear Lord, we pray today for Don McMorris. We ask You to give him sound judgement about the issues and challenges around him. Give him a sense of your presence and call on his life for the current season. May he respond to the needs in front of him with reason and compassion. Amen

Don McMorris was raised in southern Saskatchewan’s Indian-Head Milestone constituency and maintains strong connections to the communities and people of the area. He graduated from Milestone High School, later worked with the Prairie View School Division, and managed the family farm in the Lewvan area.

He was elected to the legislature as the MLA of Indian Head-Milestone in 1999. He was re-elected in the 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2016 provincial elections.

He has served as Minister of Health, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Minister of Crown Investments, Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Government Insurance, Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority, Public Service Commission, and the Lean Initiative. He has also served as Deputy Premier. Don remains very active in the community along with his wife Cindy and their two sons.
