Dear Lord. We pray today
for Doug Steele and the people that he leads. May he have a successful year in
the legislature as well as in his farming endeavours. We pray that you would
grant him a rich spiritual life that is both meaningful and authentic as he
seeks you. Amen.Doug Steele was nominated as candidate for Cypress Hills on July 28, 2015.
Doug worked for 19 years in the grain industry from manager of a local elevator to the Marketing Manager of an inland terminal. He has sat on numerous committees in the southwest region: the Southwest Municipal Government committee , Southwest Area Transportation committee, Chair of the Crown Lands Appeal Board for the province, sat on the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, sat on the SaskDocs (Physician Recruitment), Rural Economic Development Committee, MREP(Municipal Roads for the Economy Program) Committee as well as many other SARM appointed committees over the years.
Steele and his wife Phyllis, have three grown children and one grandchild. Steele has been involved in politics at the civic level for 19 years.
