MLA Darryl Hickie – Prince Albert Carlton

Heavenly Father, we are grateful for MLA Darryl Hickie and the expertise he brings to our government that enables him to make decisions his constituents can be confident in. We ask for strength, direction, and wisdom for him today for all the tasks that are before him. Bless him and his family. In Your Name, Amen.

Up until his election as the MLA for Prince Albert Carlton in November of 2007, Darryl served as a Constable assigned to the Forensic Identification Unit of the Prince Albert Police Service. He is also past president of the Prince Albert Police Association. Darryl was subsequently re-elected in the 2011 provincial election.

Hickie is a proud father who has enjoyed taking part in his daughters’ sports. He has devoted time to his daughters' school activities and was a coach for both of his girls' softball teams. “My girls are so important to me and I get a real sense of pride watching them excel and making lifelong friends through sports.”

Darryl served as the Minister for Corrections, Public Safety and Policing from 2007 to2009 and as Minister of Municipal Affairs from 2010 to 2012.
Darryl and his wife Charlene, a teacher in Prince Albert, have two daughters. “As a family, we enjoy spending time at Waskesiu boating, biking and spending time on the beach whenever time allows.”
